Flowing layers of colour and dark, bold lines created with watercolour pencils in the foreground and background depict the scene by the lake, with reflections of light on the water and a dark shoreline and trees in the background. The colour palette comprises cool blues and violets – contrasted by warm shades of green and yellow.
The painting was created on site in January 2026 at a pond in Upper Bavaria.

– Shapes – Lines: For me, painting and drawing are an important and fulfilling means of expression. I find it a wonderful experience to bring pure pigments, combined with various binders, to life as a composition on canvas. My experience in drawing from my background in landscape architecture often finds its way into my work as graphic elements.
