The ‘Skinnies’ series stems from an exploration of skin and its colour, physicality, body shapes and self-awareness. All things, living beings and perspectives contain more colours than the eye seems to perceive at first glance. Yet when these are brought to the fore, a kind of abstract-realistic colourfulness emerges.

I’m an art student from Kiel, though I actually grew up in idyllic Lübeck, and have been studying art to become a teacher in the interdisciplinary class taught by Prof. Dr Almut Linde at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts since October 2020. I’ve been painting with my favourite medium – oil paint – since I was 14. Starting out with portrait painting, over the years I’ve developed the distinctive colour palette that characterises my paintings; the magic that can arise between colours when used correctly continues to fascinate me to this day and motivates me to keep going.
I have already had the opportunity to exhibit my work in a number of exhibitions and am extremely grateful for any further opportunities :)
