Skins No. 03 ist das dritte Hautgemälde der "Skin"-Reihe, welche ich 2021 begonnen habe. Die gesamte Reihe zeichnet sich durch meine typische und geliebte "dunkelbunte" Farbigkeit aus, welche meinen Stil auszeichnet. Um an die Motive zu kommen, fotografiere oder filme ich meinen Körper oder den anderer. Durch ein starkes Heranzoomen wird das ursprügliche Motiv kaum mehr nachvollziehbar, die Körperlichkeit der Haut allerdings verstärkt. Die Skins wurden von mir auf Nesselstoff gemalt und sind für eine ungespannte Installation gedacht. Der Stoff bekommt durch seine Bemalung eine lederartige Haptik, wodurch man die Gemälde wie Hautlappen an der Wand anbringen und damit ihre ganze Wirkung hervorbringen kann.Â
Ende 2022/ Anfang 2023 wurden die Skins im Rahmen der Ausstellung "Materialsache - What about painting?!" im Spce Muthesius ausgestellt. (von links nach rechts auf dem Ausstellungsbild: Skins No. 03, 01, 02)Â

I’m an art student from Kiel, though I actually grew up in idyllic Lübeck, and have been studying art to become a teacher in the interdisciplinary class taught by Prof. Dr Almut Linde at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts since October 2020. I’ve been painting with my favourite medium – oil paint – since I was 14. Starting out with portrait painting, over the years I’ve developed the distinctive colour palette that characterises my paintings; the magic that can arise between colours when used correctly continues to fascinate me to this day and motivates me to keep going.
I have already had the opportunity to exhibit my work in a number of exhibitions and am extremely grateful for any further opportunities :)
