From a slightly elevated perspective, an intimate, cosy-looking moment is revealed here: in the privacy of one’s own home, one can potter about in the kitchen even without clothes on. In the height of summer, when temperatures rise above a certain threshold, this is a luxury depicted here through warm colours and the soft charcoal drawing.
In my view, the work is best able to make its full impact in a slightly sheltered setting; similar to its placement in the last photos. Otherwise, the figure appears exposed and vulnerable.
