Art Student of the Month
The Art Student of the Month is selected based on various factors. This feature recognizes the artist who generated the most sales during the respective month. We also take factors such as reliability, professionalism, and communication into account during the selection process. Our goal is to specifically honor outstanding collaboration. Since this award is given only once, it does not imply that the artist was any less impressive in other months.
What is ‘Artist of the Month’?
‘Artist of the Month’ is an award for outstanding achievements within the SKM community. It is awarded monthly to artists who not only achieve the highest sales figures but also impress with their professionalism and reliability. This makes it particularly worthwhile to invest in art here. The award can be received once and recognises special moments of success in an artist’s career.

Lukas Rosen’s work is a constant quest for reduction, designed to draw the viewer into a dialogue with his works as directly as possible. In his drawings and paintings, areas of colour and colour gradients form the foundation for text and figurative elements; their interplay creates a tension between pathos and naivety. His works explore themes such as intimacy, solitude and encounter, and approach the complex concept of love in various ways. Through serial repetitions of pictorial composition and concept, meditative series of works emerge, the differences between which lie in the details.

Kaan Ege Önal, born in 1996 in Kütahya, Turkey, grew up in a family of artists whose passion for traditional Turkish crafts had a significant influence on his own artistic development. Even as a child, he spent a great deal of time in his father’s pottery studio or in his mother’s painting studio, where she would decorate the pottery made by his father with traditional Turkish motifs. This early exposure to art shaped Önal and sparked a deep fascination with artistic creation within him.

Melissa Faltermeier is an art student at the University of Regensburg
It was there that I discovered my love of landscape painting. It was particularly during the painting excursions, in which I regularly took part, that I developed a deep connection with nature and a passion for the diversity of colours that we often fail to notice in everyday life. I frequently lose myself in the many facets of nature and observe it with a discerning eye.
